Original Proto-Sound Reset Kit

The Make PS force chip was designed to reprogram the original Proto-Sound sound systems when the “Clank, Clank, Clank” sound is heard upon start up. This does not apply to engines equipped with Proto-Sound 2.0 or later.

When an (original) Proto-Sound locomotive starts up and 3 clank sounds are heard this signals a software compatibility issue most likely caused by a low or dead battery. Replacing the battery and resetting the software to factory default settings should restore the locomotive operation.
