Overview
The 0-4-0 No. 10 (with its e-unit reversing counterpart No. 10E) was the second smallest electric engine made in the heyday of tinplate. The No. 10 was based loosely on the Milwaukee Road EP-2 Electric ("Olympian") engine, which had become famous nationwide when it easily won a tug-of-war against two big steam engines, a 2-6-6-2 and a 2-8-0. M.T.H.'s Tinplate Traditions line began offering ready-to-run train sets in 2002 and they were an instant hit. Tinplate started the entire hobby of model railroading in the early 1900s and its tradition lives on today in all the bright colors of the past. But, unlike the tinplate sets of yesteryear, M.T.H.'s Tinplate Traditions sets feature state-of-the-art electronics that ensure smooth, quiet operation - until you turn on the sound! A gently tolling bell, the whirring sound of the electric motor or the blast of the horn bring to life the sounds of a real engine and make your tinplate display a memorable experience for all who see it.
