Overview

In 1932 the #1468 Legionnaire Set first whistled down the wide gauge tracks. The 0-4-0 rounded-cab electric engine (#4637) and set of three lighted passenger cars sported handsome green and yellow (cream?) paint, shiny brass trim, and etched nameplates. For all its beautiful features, the catalog touted the set's low price (a whopping $37.50) as being scarcely more than the engine alone had been in 1931. Who could resist such a glamorous and affordable train? Just like the original, M.T.H.'s beautiful reproduction will sparkle on your railroad. The sturdy stamped metal construction, glossy enamel paint, and gleaming brass trim will make this set a star on any standard gauge railroad. Available in contemporary and traditional versions.
