Introduced in 1908, the Class S 3/6 was so successful that it was built through 1931, served often as power for the Rheingold Express and the Orient Express, and lasted into the 1960s. (While these photos depict the “High Stepper” version of the S 3/6, our actual models will be the original version with the tapered Windschneide (“wind cutter”) cab.)
