It's Christmas 1910, Imagine you are sitting down watching your father
or grandfather unwrapping their present, a box decorated in the timeless
orange, tan and blue colors of the Lionel Corporation. Inside they find a
shiny new passenger or freight train complete with track and transformer.
They take everything out of the box placing the locomotive on the track.
Just like a thoroughbred it looks ready to take off down the tracks

For more than 150 years, people have played with toy trains for the same reason: to have fun. But seldom has there been an opportunity to make the toys of an earlier era more fun to play with today. Yet that’s exactly what DCS — the M.T.H. Digital Command System — does: it makes tinplate trains more fun to operate than a child of the 1920s or ‘30s could have imagined.

About Our Products
Lionel Corporation products are designed to give you the same thrill that a child would have felt in the early decades of the twentieth century, when he (or she) received a tinplate toy train as a holiday or birthday present. The graphics on our boxes and literature are done in the style of that long-ago period, and our toys are built with the same sheet metal and die-cast construction and shiny enameled finish as the originals.
